Upon check in you will complete necessary paperwork and be seated in the waiting area. Our waiting area is equipped with WiFi to accommodate those needing internet access. Simply inform our front desk receptionist who will provide you with instructions and a security code.
When the pre-op nurse is ready for you, you will be escorted downstairs. Your family member or caregiver may stay with you in the pre-op area if you wish until the time of your surgery. Your ride will receive instructions on where to wait.
It is your responsibility to understand your insurance and benefits and any copay/coinsurance/deductible that may be collected prior to your surgery. Please verify with your designated pharmacy if you have prescriptions to pick up one week before surgery.
If you are taking a GLP-1 agonist, such as Trulicity, Ozempic and Rybelsus, you need to be off that medication for at least 1 week before surgery.
After surgery is complete and you are awake, the nurse will bring your ride into the recovery room. Please limit this to one person and no children, as the nurse’s primary concern is you.
